Hovid Hostan 250mg Tablet contains Mefenamic Acid BP 250mg, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) from the fenamate group used to relieve pain, inflammation, and fever. It is commonly prescribed for short-term treatment of conditions such as menstrual pain, musculoskeletal pain, dental pain, and other mild to moderate painful conditions. The tablets are supplied in convenient blister packs and are intended for short-term use only. Some people may experience stomach upset, dizziness, drowsiness, tiredness, or visual disturbances while taking this medication.

For adults and children 14 years and above, the usual dosage is 1–2 tablets up to three times daily after meals. Treatment should generally not continue for more than 7 consecutive days unless advised by your doctor. This medicine is not recommended for children under 14 years of age.
